CargoWise Webinar Series: The next evolution of ocean visibility

Episode 1: From tracking shipments to understanding your ocean network

Ocean visibility has evolved far beyond tracking individual shipments.

As supply chains become increasingly volatile, understanding the wider context around vessel movements, port activity and network disruption is becoming essential. While shipment updates remain important, teams also need to understand how delays, congestion and incidents may affect the broader network.

In the first episode of this CargoWise webinar series, discover how advances in connectivity, data and visibility are helping organizations move beyond shipment tracking and towards a more complete understanding of their ocean operations. You'll see how CargoWise brings together shipment, vessel and port information into a single operational view, helping teams monitor ocean activity in context and respond more effectively to disruption. You'll also see how CargoWise Map visualizes this information in a single workspace, making it easier to explore and understand complex ocean networks.

You'll also get an exclusive preview of upcoming AI-powered capabilities designed to help users explore and investigate ocean operations using natural language.

You’ll also learn:

  • Where ocean visibility data actually comes from, and how combining carrier, port, terminal, satellite and other sources builds a more complete picture of ocean operations.

  • Why not all tracking data is created equal, and the three characteristics that matter most for effective visibility: reliability, completeness and timeliness.

  • Why the industry's biggest visibility challenge is no longer accessing shipment updates, but understanding how disruption across vessels, ports and trade lanes affects the wider network.

  • What the next evolution of ocean visibility looks like, including delay and incident monitoring, live tracking with IoT ‘smart’ containers, and AI-powered natural language filtering capabilities.
